**PARENTS NEED TO KNOW**
NAPTA CARVES A PATH TO REFORM;
NOT THE PLAN FOR REFORM

NAPTA focuses on teacher abuse because we believe that it is the shield behind which sinister administrators hide. In addition, abusing good, loving teachers, who parents respect and with whom children thrive, proves that our educrats are not the wonderful, humanitarians they profess to be. No one with a sense of fairness and a belief in democracy would treat another human being in such a despicable way, much less the dedicated teachers that our children need. Their inhumane behavior is an indication that something dark lies behind the facade, and it needs to be exposed.

Educrats cannot afford to keep teachers with ethics and a backbone who will "tell on them". The most dangerous person in education is an honest person. That is why NAPTA is determined to round up those teachers who will speak and get the truth out via television, print, government committees, or wherever we can get the truth out. Once we expose them, the playing field will level and schools will be about children, not money and power. THEN REFORM CAN BEGIN - ONLY THEN.

Read like your life depends on it - your children's lives do!

Excerpt from: Understanding What Teachers Teach

by Jay Mathews

Jay Mathews, a Washington Post education reporter, writes a weekly Class Struggle column exclusively for washingtonpost.com. He also covers school issues in a quarterly column for The Post Magazine. He can be reached via e-mail at mathewsj@washpost.com.

We are in the midst of the largest and most expensive effort ever made to improve our system of public education. It has only begun to reach the classrooms in most states, and its success will be determined not by the office seekers and school superintendents and columnists whose views we are familiar with, but the teachers we hardly ever see.

If he is correct, and we believe he is, the success of the current No Child Left Behind reform is dependent upon teachers, and if our teachers are silenced, what chance do we have for success? NONE Why are teachers seldom seen? Could it be the educrats want things just as they are? NAPTA thinks so!

Parents Need to Understand the Game So They Have a Chance of Winning - a Game That Has Been Carefully Hidden with Public Relations Tactics

Parents continually contact NAPTA wanting to know our viewpoint on particular curriculum issues, not understanding that NAPTA is not about this. Please read the following reply to an inquiring parent to gain insight about our beliefs.

I think you misunderstand our mission. It is not that we doubt there are inappropriate programs in place such as you described, since these controlling programs would help assure that the power remained in the administrators' hands. It is not that we don't care about this. Rather we are focusing on the corruption that is the essence of our public schools since the answers to why reform keeps failing are all there. Parents view the corruption as icing on the cake and we see the corruption as the iceberg that the Titanic is about to hit. We believe all these inappropriate programs and stupid decisions, as well as techniques to load the schools with robot teachers, fuel the corruption. It is a chicken and egg issue.

It is not that we don't care about the curriculum, but that we believe this:

  • Programs that some parents consider stupid preoccupy parents so they won't discover the truth about education.

  • Teachers and other employees in our schools are the ONLY people privy to what lies beneath the facade. (A few parents manage to get close enough - See Betsy Combier Parent Story - but they are the exception.)

  • We need a witness protection program to get terrorized teachers to tell the truth. (See Teacher Stories to see what happens to teachers who tell the truth; they serve as examples and assure the educrats that few teachers will remove their muzzles.)

  • We cannot get any protection for teachers since media people and governmental officials do not believe this is happening and do not support us.

  • Parents need to support teachers so they will have the courage to speak out.

  • Parents resent teachers for doing such a poor job, not telling the truth, and not advocating for what is right for their children.

  • Administrators set teachers up to do a poor job so parents hate teachers and won't support them.

  • Parents are going to have to learn the truth so they will get the game and stop playing into the hands of their opponent - our educrats.

  • This will only happen if parents trust us enough to take the time to read the materials on our site organized to prove our position beyond a doubt.

  • Then we can indict our administrators for what they are doing.

  • Take our schools back and have real, caring people run the institutions.

You share concerns that our schools are secretly trying to take over our children and create workers for corporate America rather than provide them with a solid education. Honest administrators who want to see our schools develop critically thinking citizens, the mission they feign to follow now, would not want to create robots for the working world. I think it is impossible to determine whether this:"robot" need is more for their cover to accomplish their dirty deeds or for a world plan. And it doesn't matter once we remove evil spirited people who believe one of our most sacred institutions is theirs for the taking. Even if their plan is to serve the interests of big business, if we remove them due to their unethical and criminal actions, we get our schools back.

We say nothing will change until we get these thugs revealed for what they are and for their unconstitutional behaviors. We are not passing a value judgment that stealing money and abusing teachers is worse than creating dysfunctional Stepford children. WE THINK ALL OF THIS IS A HORROR TO OUR SOCIETY. We are saying that we can PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS for stealing money and violating teachers' rights. That will prevent them from creating Stepford children or other reprehensible things they do to the children or not do for children that in our estimation is institutionalized child abuse.

Bottom line is WE NEED TO UNITE TO STOP THESE EVIL PEOPLE. Think about how they jailed the Mafia people - for Income tax evasion, the least of their bad deeds. We are saying we have the goods on them and together we can get them. Then from that point on reform starts and NAPTA becomes obsolete. NAPTA was founded to stop these people and our belief is teacher abuse stops teachers from speaking out, preventing anyone from stopping those in power. Think of teacher abuse as an equivalent to using hitmen. Hitmen frightened most people away from going after Mafia members; teacher abuse frightens most teachers away from exposing what is really going on. All criminals need a plan and teacher abuse works wonders. It has all of you believing that most teachers want to be lousy teachers, when most are sick about it. You need to read Breaking the Silence, by Joseph and Jo Blase, available to order on our site, to hear from those "lousy" teachers who step into line to stay employed.

We are not saying that stealing money or abusing teachers are the worst things they are doing. We are saying they are the most concrete things we can document to get the bad guys out of our schools. We will never be able to make a case that they are creating mindless children. It is too abstract and unfortunately not illegal. But if we get them on illegal behaviors, they, not NAPTA teachers, will be banished.

We know that good administrators do not want mindless students. It is the bad guys who want this. A bad system coerces good people to do bad things; we believe the number of bad people is far smaller than what it appears. Many good people do bad things when pressured; it is a bad system that allows for this to happen and without any government agency overseeing education, without any media coverage of the truth, and with no teachers free to speak, the system will forever remain bad. Just look at our federal government and campaign finances to see what a bad system can do to good people. Officials go into office meaning to do the right thing, and sell out, one after another. The same thing happens with teachers, but they don't sell out for money. They sell out to keep their jobs, period!

What NAPTA sees as the problem is no more important than what parents see as the problem. We are not dwelling on the programs in the school since we see the inappropriate programs as the natural outcome of a group of people working in a organized crime fashion to shut out the parents and citizens so education can be about what they want it to be about rather than what our society needs.

Some NAPTA members do not plan to get involved in reform. Many have had enough heartache with this profession, and want to move on as soon as our schools are reclaimed for the greedy, arrogant "businesspeople" now running them. We believe that the parents and teachers will do just fine once this becomes a real profession with the education mobsters out of the schools. The evil people running our schools are llike a cancer that must be excised.

NAPTA is about uniting with parents to force these people to follow the laws, rather than operating above the laws.

We should not waste our time debating the merits of the many evil, stupid things taking place in education. Let us focus instead on putting them out of business, in the way that the government once put some of the evil, cruel, dangerous gangsters out of business by convicting them of tax invasion!

Our educators are doing whatever they want because they have been given the power to do so, and there is no agency overseeing them, and few laws to restrain them. That is what Karen Horwitz was saying to Eichenwald in a Teacher's Plea, an article posted on this site. Be the overseer. Stop these people. They need to be investigated even more than corporate America, yet no investigation takes place in this world that has so much power.

There are people who believe that the government and schools are conspiring to play Big Brother in an attempt to control American society. There are those who think that Big Business is conspiring with education to guarantee an endless supply of minimum-wage workers and cannon fodder. NAPTA believes that unregulated schools are an opportunity for unethical Educrats to siphon off money, to enjoy perks, and to wield power. NAPTA does not believe that most administrators are intellectual enough or philosophical enough to care about implementing plans for a Big Brother-ish educational system. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in-bewteen; perhaps the truth is a combination of many factors. It doesn't matter. That is our point. What matters is stopping them from what they are doing so parents and teachers will regain their rightful powers.

We have to believe that our system of democracy will balance the power if democracy is put back into our schools. If we don't believe that, we have no right to fight wars for democracy or judge dictatorial governments. America cannot justify this tyrannical system that exists against teachers and parents that we call our public schools and still say we are a democracy. Our democracy has laws and they are being violated by educrats. The main reason education has turned into self-serving fiefdoms is because no one has known enough to stop them. We have enough upstanding citizens who will fight the battle for democracy in every other aspect of our society, and the only reason they are not fighting it in education, is the wall between them and education has sealed any chance they would know what is going on. MOST PEOPLE SIMPLY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON IN EDUCATION, thus the need for NAPTA.

NAPTA has the goods on them to stop them. We have the equivalent of income-tax violations to put them out of business. We want parents to join us in getting the media to present proof of our allegations. We want our documents shown, proving the guilt of many school administrations. However, right now there are hundreds, maybe thousands of us, with the proof in our hands, being blocked by our unions and our schools. Consider the fact that schools are PRIVATE PROPERTY, belonging to whichever superintendent and board members are in power at the moment. Superintendents are emperors of their personal empires, and have the legal power to do anything that they want to do. In some instances, they have even called the police to drag off any person they did not want on their campuses. It is quite frightening to think that people of such low repute are allowed this power and that there is NO GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY IN EXISTENCE TO INVESTIGATE ANY OF THIS.

Those of us who were bullied and criminally violated by the system have contacted every agency imaginable and none can or will investigate. From the ACLU to the governors, attorney generals and senators to the FBI, it is not something they can or will do. The sole agency that could investigate our schools- our school boards - are politically controlled by our administrators. And they could only investigate their individual schools. Study the SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION fiasco that occurred in Wilmette, Illinois, to get a glimpse of what really goes on in these elections.

We have NO GOVERNMENTAL AGENCY IN EXISTENCE TO INVESTIGATE OUR SCHOOLS. Our Department of Education, which could be assigned this duty, has nothing set up to do so. In fact, they regularly hand out Blue Ribbon Awards to some of the most reprehensible districts in our country. (Search Blue Ribbon on our search engine and see an article about this.) What do you think corporate America would look like today if there were no agency overseeing them? People need to understand that our public schools are no different. It is a group of humans, some bad and some good, and the bad ones have taken over because they can. It is as simple as that!

Sometimes when a teacher speaks out, an individual district with an honorable board gets the message and cleans house somewhat. But generally superintendents are puppet-masters, expecting board members to respond to every jerk of the string. We want to force change all over the country. Then we can hand the opportunity for reform over to people who want to enact reform and make our schools what they should be.

Perhaps some NAPTA people will engage in reform. But our charter is to focus our energy on exposing and stopping teacher abuse thereby enabling reform to begin. Our greatest pleasure will be to put ourselves out of business with a system that doesn't abuse people. We are not saying that teachers should never be fired; if they cannot do the job, they need to go. But the termination process should be humane and Constitutional, and should be utilized on teachers damaging children rather than on dedicated teachers as punishment when they refuse to be a part of the political game. Our information will prove that termination is used as punishment when teachers refuse to be a part of the evil political game. . Our information will prove that educrats violate the laws of the land regularly, with no accountability, as they dispose of teachers who get in their way. We need for you to read our teacher stories to get an inkling of the horror taking place in our schools.

NAPTA was not founded to reform curriculum. If we were to start analyzing phonics, outcome based objectives and work-to-school programs, etc., we would divert the energy needed to accomplish our goal of making schools safer, more humane, more effective, and more attractive to future teachers. We can!! We hope that this makes sense to you, because with the help of parents who understand and support what we are doing, we can work magic. Think about how the tobacco companies had to succumb once an insider exposed their intentional use of nicotine to promote sales. The information we have is the key to forcing change.

We are not the icing on the cake: we are the cake! And this country is facing a severe shortage of "cakes!" Few people will choose to go into a career that promises little money, no autonomy, no respect, but a great deal of ridiculous busy work, intimidation and harassment. Until there are schools where teachers are treated with respect by administrators, where administrators and parents trust teachers with a certain amount of academic freedom and autonomy, nothing can be accomplished, and fewer people will choose education as their profession. Effective teaching is impossible when teachers live in terror of angering administrators for the most minute infraction. Students are well-aware of the contemptuous attitude of many administrators toward teachers, and sometimes emulate the disrespect.

Then parents, teachers, and administrators can work together to further school reform.

We understand why our mission puzzles many, since teacher abuse has been such a deep dark secret. NAPTA was the first to expose this when our web site was launched mid October of 2002. It will take time. We have to work as a team to accomplish this since teachers are just too afraid to speak publicly.

We have had 4000 hits on our site since its inception, and only 10 new stories and about 25 new members. Such a dichotomy reflects the fact that as long as teachers feel that parents don't get what is happening, they will never come out of the closet, since they know their careers will be destroyed. Most will even be too afraid to fill out our membership form, having learned that some administrators actually monitor sites such as this one. Retaliation is swift and harsh. Yes, teachers are paranoid and rightly so. What they fear happens all around them, all the time. One could argue that it isn't paranoid when what one fears is real; however, since teachers can not always prove harassment and retaliation, they are accused of being paranoid.. In fact, sending teachers to district psychiatrists who find them paranoid or delusional for thinking they are being bullied is one of the foremost ways of disposing of a teacher. And we criticize other countries for their barbarian ways?

Think of this system as a circle of energy and if we enter the circle in the wrong place, the teachers become more terrorized and silent and the administrators get off free since no one will speak and the few that will speak will sound crazy since they have no validation. But if we enter with faith in the teachers as the good guys, who were coerced into being bad, who need to be freed from this terror, then many will speak and the reign of terror will be over. Granted some teachers are not good people, but so few have any power in the system that they are merely followers, not leaders. The evil leaders are the ones with power.

Furthermore, if teachers were self-serving they would not stay in the classroom when there is money and power to gain by becoming an administrator. The bad teachers you see in the classroom are mostly products of the tyrannical system - burned out from the disgust, needing to pass the abuse down to their students in their frustration, operating as robots so they don't have to think about what their lives have become, or justifying their behavior in anger for what the system has done to them. Many are as angry at parents for allowing this to happen as parents are angry at teachers for doing a lousy job. Didn't our educrats create the perfect plan? If most of them didn't seem so anti-intellectual, we would think that they read Stalin, Hitler and other successful dictators to arrive at such perfection of control.

Parents usually try to focus on the programs they dislike, and on what they perceive as unsuitable decisions and actions by teachers. They want change there. That is exactly what the administrators want. If teachers are blamed fordecisions they have not made, indeed, are not allowed to make, then they will never be free to speak the truth - that our schools are creating school-to-work automatons. The teachers are terrorized so they can't speak, and all eyes are away from the bad guys.

As we mentioned before, teachers need a witness protection program to ensure they do not suffer retaliation for whistleblowing undertaken to protect students and peers. . We have teachers afraid they are going to be killed. We had a teacher assaulted by six men-two city policement, three security guards, and one vice principal--- for going to visit the school at which she used to teach. We have had teachers carried off by police. We have had teachers stalked. We have had teachers attacked by students. We have had teachers' lives ruined from trauma that affects them for a lifetime. Most of us feel our lives are in danger for doing our NAPTA work, but we refuse to let fear stop us from doing what is important work. There is just too much at stake for us to quit; and we can't turn our backs on the children we entered the profession to help. Furthermore, the Internet has offered an opportunity that we are confident will expose this. This opportunity never existed before the Internet and we believe it is our time.

We have read a lot about the issues that concern you. We have read many, many books about education. We are fully aware of travesties in education. Our focus is not on these issues because of the reasons already iterated. We will not get corruption out of the system by arguing philosophy. We must get them indicted, thereby demonstrating to the remaining administrators that abuse and corruption will not be tolerated anymore. We must first level the playing field and then we can work on what is happening on the playing field. We must insist that our government begins some way to oversee and regulate the power of administrators, minimally making it illegal to tamper with school board elections. No Child Left Behind is a joke when you consider the road they travel in this jungle of duplicity. Reform has to be about Real Schools. We do not have them.

Most parents are not aware of the corruption that is the obstacle to reform, focusing instead on the end product of a system that is a shell game. Our masterful educrats have had such a marvelous covert system in place that it is not surprising that teacher abuse as the reason for the teacher shortage is a hidden horror.

There are more parents than there are teachers. And certainly way, way more of you than teachers who can find the courage to speak out and fight this battle. But in spite of your huge numbers, you will get nowhere without the insider information we can provide to bring unethical, self-serving administrators down. We have the documents. We have the testimony. We can go on Oprah or Dateline and prove what is happening. Parents will never be able to do that without us. Yet, we will never be able to do this without you since, our numbers will remain small as long as the abuse keeps most teachers silent, in fear of retaliation.

There are few people who went into teaching for any reason other than loving children and thinking they could make a difference. After all, we couldn't be materialistic if we went into a field with so little money available for us. And we couldn't be power mongers if all we ever wanted to do is work with children and improve their lives. Those who went into it to become administrators and enjoy the perks and powers may be in another category. But those of us who simply wanted to teach, or the majority of teachers, are good people forced to do bad things such as lie to parents, support programs they know are wrong for children, gang up on colleagues targeted by their boss even if they are outstanding teachers, perjure themselves in court, and compromise their teaching. It is imperative that parents learn about the TYPES OF TEACHERS THAT EXIST IN OUR SCHOOLS AND WHY.

That fact that a few of us had the courage and wherewithal to put our careers and lives on the line doesn't mean that that those who remain silent out of terror are bad people. Some people judge them harshly, but you need to have worked in a school to judge them. It is more horrific than anyone can imagine. And the administrators' ability to brainwash teachers is overwhelming. Only the fiercely independent souls can avoid being duped.

NAPTA believes that we are all created in the image of God and some have been blessed with more courage and more support so we can fight this battle and keep standing. Although we can engage more teachers to join us, we will never engage the majority while administrators have this magnificent tool of the ability to muzzle teachers with their terror. People will be able to see things they never, never had the opportunity to know before from our site and from within books we will promote over time. Educrats have brainwashed much of the public; our mission is to unbrainwash the public.

As with anything good that happens in life, trust must be the underlying quality that makes it work. Our initial group of teachers had to trust total strangers across the country to get this going. So far everyone we trusted has proven to be a light in this crusade to get our schools back. We believe a force bigger than us guides us, as the universe has a way of guiding people into the light and out of the darkness if they open their eyes and look. Our schools are dark, very dark. The evil is so integrated into every aspect of what they do, that no parent could ever arrive at any logical conclusion about a curriculum idea, a textbook, or what takes place in our schools. It is more political than Washington, D.C.

Whatever issues bother you in our schools, and there are many, know that they are smoke and mirrors that educrats hide behind. As the public is distracted, educrats have a window of opportunity to make special deals. They want the public focused on something other than their misdeeds and political control of the boards. Programs that parents find ineffectual, or offensive, or just plain stupid, aren't the real cancer, and if parents continue to expend their energy at that surface level, nothing will ever change. We need to work at the seed level to change this scene. This is big time corruption and we need to find people who will help us unmask it. We need parents to spread the message so more people will help us. We have the proof, but not the means to do anything with it at this point. THEIR ACE IN THE HOLE IS THAT TEACHERS ARE TOO WEAK AND TOO FINANCIALLY CONSTRAINED TO DO ANYTHING WITH THE PROOF; EVEN IF TEACHERS GET OVER THEIR FEARS OF RETALIATION. IT'S WHAT ADMINISTRATORS COUNT ON.

NAPTA's agenda is to acquire the means to reveal and stop the abuse, means TO and we will do it somehow, someway, because we are dedicated teachers who took our devotion and dedication to the profession that turned out to be an illusion, and have placed it into this cause. And just as we used to turn children's lives around, we will turn this around. We know we can. But it will happen much faster with people like you helping so we are grateful for your belief in us and your efforts. Together we will get our schools back.

This is not about teachers waking up. This is about teachers escaping from the concentration camps we call our schools. We need your help. NAPTA teachers are citizens and many of us are parents first, and teachers second. This fight is not about our careers, but about our outrage that our most vulnerable citizens, our children, are being abused - through the abuse of teachers.

We pray that parents will understand that NAPTA has the answer to their prayers. Stick with us and we will overcome thei corrupt power-mongers, and get back to the democratic system that people believe is already in place.

SOME SUGGESTIONS ABOUT WHAT PARENTS CAN DO TO HELP END THIS HOSTILE TAKEOVER OF OUR SCHOOLS

Besides reading as much about this as you can, which is the number one action that will unite us, here are some things you can do to get our schools back:

  • Join NAPTA - WE NEED NUMBERS TO GET MEDIA ATTENTION

  • Circulate our web pages to friends via emails - With AOL all you need to do is drag the heart from the top of the web page onto an email to create an instant link to that page.

  • Circulate our website address everywhere you go; spread the message.

  • Send us your story and documentation about deception in your schools that you experience or uncover

  • Forward articles to us showing corruption in schools and we will add them to our site.

  • Write a letter to editor about your school and send us a copy.

  • Buy the book Breaking the Silence, the book that documents the truth of our mission and has testimony from teachers who admit that they are compromising their teaching out of fear; read it and recycle it yourself or via our recycle program. (Link to purchase on HOME page)

  • Hold bake sales, garage sales, or any other endeavor to raise money to buy the books and circulate them.

  • Order our t-shirts and wear them proudly.

  • Help us find an attorney who will donate time to file a RICO charge (organized crime) against our schools.

  • Donate money to NAPTA so we can reach our goal faster with hired workers. Or find others who are looking for a worthy cause to which they will donate money.
